This is the video I created to show students how to do the Eiffel tower print. The print itself is very involved that I didn't want them to miss any steps. So as they watched, I circled around and ensured they were on top of things! I was also able to pass out supplies as needed and stop the video to reteach anything that was missed.

This is the valentine's day optical illusion project I used for the sub but works great as any intro into optical illusion art. Key words are optical illusion art and parallel lines.

This is the lesson I used for my sub on Valentines day. It is a great project that talks about positive/negative space, symmetrical design, and overlapping. I did this with 2nd grade but it can most definitely be modified to work with all grade levels!

I taught this lesson with first grade. It was a great way to discuss art history and the artists Van Gogh and Cassatt. We also talked about how to create texture using our paint brush and how to not totally blend color all the way. Then we did a nice printmaking using our fingers to create the flower petals.

This how-to video I created for my sub when I was out for Jury duty (...). Ha! Any who, the sub reported that all the students loved it and seemed to really enjoy making the project. This is a great way to talk about structured doodles (zentangles) and to really let the kids get their doodling on! It is said that absently doodling is a sign of intelligence, lets see if we can grow that! I set this up for 5th-2nd grade. Easily adaptable for all grades. Could have K&1 fill the space around their name with shapes or lines.

This video was created to give students an introduction to collage, mask making, and positive and negative space. The lesson plan is labeled 'collage mask' and will be found under 4th grade projects. This video will be shown the day the project starts as a jumping off point. It is meant to be super basic so as to discourage students from copying it.
