Today we started our jewelry making unit in 5th! I love this unit. It had such success at my previous school and I am so happy to introduce BSI students to another art related career, Jewelry making. Check out the beginning of our work.
did you miss the art show? #sadface it’s ok!!! I took pictures of every single artwork at the show and I’d have to say these are the most talented students ever! Enjoy the pictures! third grade has been working so hard on their slab projects! We looked at the artist Lucy Tiffney for inspiration for these. First we rolled out a slab. Then using the additive and subtractive method we created plants on our slab. After they were fired once we then glazed them. Here they are coming out of the kiln. The student choices of top 3 from each class will be on display soon and the rest will be coming home! Please join us in the Media center of Big Shanty ES on Thursday, February 7th
