Wheh! I got a late start today but happy week 6! There are now 30 different at home art lessons you can do. They are here under the 'Students' tab and the drop down menu 'at home resources'. We use Artsonia to upload artwork to for me to look at! Just email me for more information. Don't forget about our weekly Zoom meetings with all the specialists! That information is here.
Finally, if you feel so compelled, below you will find a link where you can nominate me for Cobb Elementary School Art Teacher of the Year. Nominations link Have a great week and I can't wait to see what you have created! Stay safe and healthy!

It was so nice seeing some of ya'll on Zoom! Here are the images of the 'Simple Circuit' robot we drew to help you remember your simple circuits and how they work! Remember, the key parts of a simple circuit are Resister/Load, Conductive Path, Voltage Source and a Switch is optional. Also, when the circuit is CLOSED it is live or turned on. When the circuit is OPEN it is not live or it's turned off. Hope you enjoyed! Good morning! Really short post. I wanted to remind you all to check under the student's tab for fun at home projects and activities to do. I am also updating the elements of art tab. You will learn ALOT about art and how to arrange your work to make it more pleasing to the eye. Also Zoom is now on Tuesdays! Check the Zoom Info tab under students for the link. Come and chat with us! Finally, I want you all to follow this art teacher's YouTube channel. He is a fantastic teacher here in Cobb and has made these videos to teach you how to draw. He is teaching the technical skill, it's not one of those step by steps. Here is the link to his channel.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIW8mXeIrZwWsXGtBpnCsVA Have a great week and keep sending me what you make! Welcome to week 4 of Digital learning in art! I hope everyone had a wonderful spring break! I know I did, the weather was perfect! According to Cobb, we will now have digital learning Monday-Thursday. This means I will post projects only on those days and our weekly Zoom meetings have been moved. This week they are on Thursday but next week we will change to a different day due to scheduling conflict. Well here is the information you need! As always, at the top of the page select 'Students', a drop down will give you more options such as 'At home resources', 'Zoom info' and other things. You will find everything you need under that 'Students' drop down menu. Also, don't forget to post your art projects to Artsonia! It's a fantastic digital portfolio platform. BUT WAIT, THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE COOL ABOUT ARTSONIA! Every week they randomly select artwork from each grade category, that work goes up for the public to vote on. The winner will receive $$!!! So, in order for your artwork to maybe be selected you need to do two things. The first is post artwork every week! Lots of it! The second is to make sure your parents have given their permission for your artwork to be published. Even if you post your artwork on Artsonia, it will be made private (only you and I can see it) unless your parents have gone into the parent app and given their permission. If you aren't sure just email me! [email protected]
And now for our FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK. This week (or rather the week before we went on spring break) our featured artist is Nathan K.! Nathan has created some really cool digital artwork AND his 'Marshmallow' man was selected for voting on Artsonia's website! He did not win (bummer!) but still that is really cool! Here is some of his artwork. Great work Nathan and keep on posting! |
